Valentine’s Giveaway!

It is so hard to believe that Valentine’s Day is next week! There is no worse feeling in life than being that sucker that is at CVS at 5pm on Valentine’s Day with all of the other men trying to find a $5 card that really doesn’t even say anything you would ever come up with, not to mention trying to find flowers that aren’t half dead since you waited too long.

I am gonna help you out! I am giving away a really sweet Valentine’s Giveaway. One lucky couple will get a $100 Tolon Gift Card and a reservation at 6pm on Valentine’s Day!

To be entered to win, simply LIKE & SHARE my Facebook post. For a bonus entry you can comment on this blog with your worst Valentine’s Day memory or fill out the form below. Let’s hear about that stuffed animal your boyfriend got you in college, or that one time your date took you to a sketchy restaurant! The winner will be announced on Monday February 11th on my Facebook page.

Rules: 1 entry per person via Facebook, and bonus entries for sharing on this page and for filling out the form below.

But I found it & got it all pretty for him this was after I had worked all day so we meet up & he’s like omg thank you & said yea I had something for you too so he goes and pulls out just random candy from his pocket 😩😒

Worst valentines was a few years ago when me and my boyfriend (now current fiancé) broke up two weeks prior to Valentine’s Day. So me and my best friend did a friends Valentine’s Day instead. On my way to meet her at Longhorn I stopped at Walmart to get her chocolate cover strawberries. As I was leaving the parking lot some old lady T-boned me and left the scene of the accident. So we missed our reservations and I had a $1,500 repair bill on top of it. However, on a positive note they found the old lady less then 5miles away after she hit someone else.

Worst Valentine’s day was when my ex husband who I was married to at the time asked me what I wanted for Valentine’s day a few hours right before Valentine’s! Then said he needed to go to the grocery store which made me so mad since Valentine’s is supposed to be a surprise and he was going to go to grocery store just a few hours right before Valentine’s day. Needless to say I spent the entire day mad at him and told him I didn’t even want to do Valentine’s day since he was unprepared and totally ruined it.

My worst Valentines Day isn’t necessarily horrible, but kind of funny. I was dating a guy for about 9 months when our first V day rolled around. We were only 17. We had talked about 2 weeks prior about Valentines Day plans and things we liked and didn’t. I specifically said that I couldn’t stand boxed chocolates and those little conversation hearts. Fast forward to Valentines Day and do you know what he got me? A box of chocolates and conversation hearts with literally no recollection of our previous conversation. We had a good laugh about it… that was 14 years ago. We are now getting ready to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. I stuck with the crazy man…who has genuinely turned into the most romantic man I have ever met!

My worst Valentine’s Day would have to be my freshman year of high school. We did the school council fundraiser of buying a carnation, writing a note, and delivering it to the one you were crushing on. I was really crushing on this one guy at the time and had a different guy crushing really hard on me. Come Valentine’s Day, I got a carnation delivered to my classroom! I was so excited and my heart started pounding really fast as I read it… only to find out it was from someone who I actually found rather creepy! The note read, “you and I are like carrots and watermelon.” I still have no idea what it meant.

My worst Valentine’s day… wow, it’s really the last one I remember. Besides making Valentine’s with the children one year, my husband and I pretty much quit having Valentine’s day after the one in 2005. That was the day we left our home… the one we planned on growing old together in, and signed a lease on a rental. I was a new mom with a 13 month old, and heavily pregnant with the second due in May. Our beautiful house was found to have toxic mold (which I was allergic to, and it threatened the babies). Under our Dr’s advisement, we moved out immediately to get into a better environment. I have never felt at home like I did in that home. We’ve been kindof roaming ever since. We have four children now, and and old drafty home that needs many repairs. Tomorrow, we are finalizing plans for my mother in laws funeral. It would be lovely to get away for an evening of respite and romance … if not just to forget the world for a night. 💔

Worst Valentine’s Day was after I set up a great evening for us, and that day, I started not feeling well. Long story short, I tried to “tough it out” and ended up vomiting on the side of the road on our way to dinner. She said she wasn’t hungry after that…

I might have a tie, Ha. One was the year I was getting divorced (had separated in Jan) and my now ex husband got me a dozen roses…he had never gotten me flowers before. Ever. In 5 years. Ugh. The other was a few years later I spent the day at the ER getting X-ray’s and a MRI for a back injury. I didn’t think I would be there as long as I was and the beautiful bouquet of flowers my then boyfriend (now wonderful husband) had delivered to me before I got injured ended up freezing. Poor flowers.

The only bad Valentine’s day I ever had was in grade school. My teacher was having an awesome party that was supposed to last the whole afternoon. As a kid, that’s what life’s made of right there! Unfortunately I got really sick and got sent home before I even got to enjoy any of it!

I don’t really have a bad valentines story ( just posting for the bonus ;). My husband and I share the same birthday, Feb 15, so Valentines day is kind of a forgotten holiday at our hm. But don’t feel sorry for me… I don’t buy him a card or chocolates either. <3

My husband used to be awesome at getting me Valentine’s Day gifts. Kitchen gadgets, workout equipment, practical things I asked for. People would give him crap about it. So he caved, and last year bought me GROCERY STORE FLOWERS!! I tried my hardest to smile but I ended up making him feel bad. I don’t blame him. I blame everyone else 🙂

I had a ‘blind date’ with a guy who was a friend’s neighbor. We had talked on the phone a few times, but he showed up that night with a necklace that was a key & lock shaped like a heart and a handwritten poem. It would have been cute if you were dating that person, but this was our first date and we were teenagers at the time. It was a little intense! I was so uncomfortable.
